Thanksgiving Chapel! There will be a Thanksgiving chapel on Monday, November 23 at 2:20 p.m. The preschool & 4th grade students are in charge of this chapel. Students are invited to bring in items for "The Bridge"  for our Thanksgiving project. Everyone is invited to attend this time of worship and thanksgiving. Here is a list of items for the Bridge:  
• Paper products - toilet tissue, tissues, paper towels  
• Cleaning supplies - any type of cleaning supplies for a home  
• Postage Stamps  
• Gift cards for use at Walmart and at the OC Gas Stations  
• Kids Craft supplies - they have a variety of ages of kids living there- a variety of supplies welcomed

Orange City Christian will be represented at three Honor Festivals in the next month. 
Congratulations to these students for working hard at developing their God given gifts.

Honor Orchestra: Two OCCS students have been selected to be a part of the Iowa Junior Honors String Orchestra Festival which will be held in Ames on Nov. 20, 2009. John S., on cello, and Jeffrey J., on viola, will rehearse with a guest conductor during the day and will perform in a 4:30 pm concert at Fisher Theatre on the ISU complex.

Honor Band:  Selected to participate in the annual Northwest Iowa Junior High Honor Band Festival are: Jeff J. on alto saxophone, Derek D.V.  on trumpet, Ben K. and Josh V. on trombone.  The concert will be Saturday, November 7 in Storm Lake.

Honor Choir: Students participating in the annual Junior HIgh Choral Festival on Tuesday, November 3 in LeMars are: Wendi Jo V.V., Megan V.S., Abby V.B., Paige N., Jeff J., John S., Derek  D.V.and Ben K..
